TRANSFORMERS! Bulk-Storage-bed in a living room!

beds with lots of bulk storage is a classic Ikea hack. Our bed design is so easy that anyone can do it. No changes to the original Ikea furniture, practically no work, it's easy! But when we made our bed, we would never have guessed that our hack came with a bonus. We live in a small apartment, so when my husband invited 15 people to his birthday, we knew the room would be a complement to the living room. That was when we discovered that it was so easy to convert our bed in a lounge with two sofas. This bed is a must for people who live in a small apartment, but loooove to invite guests for a party

What you need :!

2x old libraries Expedit, 185 × 44 cm
2x Box mattress with a wooden frame, 0 x 0 cm
4x Besta frames, 60x40x38 cm
16x wheels for furniture, round but not larger than 4 cm
Lance for bed

mattress box based on two Expedit bookcases, under the head and feet. When the wheels are placed under the Besta executives, they function like enormous "roller bed" that run from the sides of the bed The wheels must be short enough so that the Besta units to be shorter than the Expedit. This construction leaves a huge void space under the bed which is ideal for bulk storage, easily accessible by the deployment of Besta frames. When put together, the actions of the units correspond to the size of a double bed absolutely perfect, even without any distortion! This is by far the best way to do a bulk bed search of clean up storage.


Transforming the bed in a room is super easy too. Simply lift the mattress, put them against the wall, and place the Expedit library in front of them. Completed! The Expedit libraries have a hight fine to rest, and the mattresses are comfortable folder. Just cover it all with pillows and throws. The Besta "bed rolls" even make flexible tables. The empty space under the bed is also great for keeping foldable extra chairs that provide additional seating for the show.

This is a great way to turn your bedroom into a place to entertain your guests. Although I personally recommend it for people who want to convert between the bedroom and living room, you might be able to build further on the hack and improve. Who knows?
