loft bed frame and a high standing laptop
Materials: Malm and Store
description :. Here are two of my Ikea hacks
The first is a bed frame, I made ...
I just moved to a house in a small apartment, and needed a place to store all my things, but always wanted a clean look without clutter. Ikea had the answer. I just found a chest that I liked at Ikea and bought four of them - the drawers Malm 3. I then built a simple bed frame to sit on top, and turned in bed with 50 cubic feet storage space underneath (including drawers) !!
The frame wasn 't hard to build
I measured a queen mattress, and cut large pieces of wood to fit around that. These external parts of lumber has been reinforced in the corners. Then I got smaller pieces of wood (2 × 2, I think) and their attached so they run along each inside edge of the outdoor rooms. Then I 2 × 4 placed on top of the runners, and they reached an end of the frame to another, acting as slides for the platform. Once the blades were in place, I have spent a large piece of cardboard chip on top! I also added some other finishing touches, such as adding small pieces of wood to the inside edges of the dresser where I Cut a notch, I used to hang a small curtain on a peg to hide the spaces.
My second tip is a notebook stand ...
This hack is extremely easy. I just started with a wooden drainer Ikea store, and cut more support legs to the side "back". I then attached to a wall with 3M Command hooks small wire , and voila !! I used 5 of those bands because I wanted to be sure it would bear the weight of my laptop. I really like the look of a floating laptop, and this dish drainer worked perfectly.
I can also remove the laptop stand from the wall completely if I want, or fold completely. Or, I can fold the top and use it to support a text book on the bottom. Or lastly, I place the laptop on the top, and either fold the bottom, or use it to store my mouse, wireless keyboard, etc. Very versatile!
