GODMORGON sink basin stands transform into a bed
Materials: GODMORGON basin sink means, scrap wood, screws, parts of your old bed (if desired)
Description: I found a stack of GODMORGON sink basin stand the dirt cheap on clearance Ikea as-is section, so I filled my little car with as much as I could adapt (two times). GODMORGON basin stands are of good quality, and very beautiful soft-closing drawers with dividers for additional go inside.
My first project was to transform three of them in a new bed We live an apartment that is severely lacking in storage, we want all the drawers, we can get. I always thought hidden under the bed storage was a great use of space, so I got to the measure and found that an arrangement of three basin stands perfectly integrated in our double bed.
First, I gathered the three stands as directed, including optional wall brackets.
I do not know if the stands would support safely the weight of the bed and two adults, so I then used a scrap Couples 2 × 4 laying around attached to wall brackets at the proper height for the plank bed to rest.
I also attached the side rails of our old bed alongside stands with screws to hold the panels and mattress sideways.
Now we have a large bed watching with lots of convenient storage!
