Happy New year 09! Done resolutions? Broken yet? Start the year with this cool super Malm bed with lots of storage.

Andrew said: "We had an idea to add somehow under the shelves in one king bed Malm using apparatus lack of shelving. The original thought was to add legs to the Malm and drag a lack in each side. The problem came when we could not find a way to attach the legs that met my two structural concerns / safety and aesthetic sense of Jennifer; they would be attractive, but too small or not properly secured, or ugly, but cumbersome and secure.

The beginnings of a solution came from a post Ikeahacker on heads that connected to aerialsoul Malm hack head. The main source of inspiration we took from this is that the best way to add a Malm bed is to simply buy another set. We use the head as a whole the step, and our headboard is made from the second headboard sat on the two steps. Everything works together to make a cohesive bed connected. We could not be happier

Supplies List:

2x Malm king, black / brown
2x lack shelving unit, black / brown

4x 6 '1 × 4 wood, used as cleats to secure the three pieces of the headboard
2x 24 "1 × 4 wood used to build the reoriented headboard where it was not the internal structure
1x 24 "1 × 6 wood, even
1 qt. black paint used on the sanded wood
wood glue, various screws and random Ikea equipment
8x furniture legs plastic to facilitate movement on the carpet (4x for both Lack units)
