Lack Tower

lack Tour

materials: Lack wall shelf, feet, and hardware equipment, paint, screws, plywood piece

description: My nightstand Malm did not work for me, so I hacked lack. I wanted to use as a tower, but does not trust to stand unaided, and bolt directly on the wall would make it difficult to reach the bed I also need a larger area for my lamp.

So I planted a few feet to a piece of plywood cut painted the same size as the "bottom" of the unit then screw the plywood to the bottom in the areas I'm pretty sure there were solid wood. (Bonus: plywood came from an old desktop IKEA, the name lost in antiquity.) I attached a shelf in the back, and used the provided support to fix the shelf to the wall

I was going. to glue the plywood to the bottom of the unit, but, as it appeared, there is a small (1/8 ") lip hangs from the back room, so there is a gap between the plywood and the bottom shelf. I need to push something there - a stirring paint stick on the front, maybe

I did not much woodworking experience to the execution was not as perfect as I had hoped, but it works as well as I expected. not bad for my first hack!
