SOVSÄCK HACK for ALVINE Bedspread

SOVSÄCK HACK to ALVINE Bedspread

Materials: ALVINE bedspread, 100 "zipper, upholstery thread, sewing machine

description: I will camp in a few weeks and wanted a sleeping bag with style. along these lines, I designed the sleeping bag very simple hack.

SOVSÄCK means "sleeping bag" in . Swedish by Google Translate :)

You will need:

1 sewing machine (or a sewing needle in hand and patience)
1 Size 16 (large caliber) machine needle
1 Spool Heavy Duty / Discussion tapestry
1100 "Zipper Sleeping Bag
1 Bedspread

I have included some IKEA instructions style beautiful (if slightly inaccurate and not quite instructive - hey, it's harder than it seems) for a visual!.

What you do is bend a bedspread vertically (so it is very long / high) and then sew a zipper slide on the outer edges of the fold. Instant sleeping bag. So incredibly simple, especially if you know how to sew. It took me about 2 hours to do (it took me more time to play with the image I took and create the educational graph).

I got a good bit left on the bedspread top, so I bent over. You can easily use this supplement as a hiding place or a space of pillows.

There is not much to it, but here is a useful tip on sewing zippers for novice pirate seam: Pin the zipper on both sides of individual bedspread so that it is zip and unzip both sides once everyone is pinned to his side of the zipper, to sew each side (try not pin a side of the bedspread to another, or you sew through two layers and you will not be able to unzip your sleeping bag - it's an easy mistake to make, and I do it all the time with zippers). Not absolutely necessary, but it saves some headaches and sleeping bag even ends on both sides of the zipper. Alternatively, if you're feeling brave and accurate, you can unzip the zipper all the way, and sew each side of the zipper on each side of the bedspread without pinning.
