custom bed headboard with storage
Materials: Mosjö ext BESTA, VIKA AMON, LACK
description: I wanted to create a headboard measure that would suit our bed right under our windows. Since you can never have enough storage the ability to lift up and empty winter duvets, extra pillows were in even better!
The basic idea was to take positions of two TV (the Mosjö and BESTA extension) that are the same depth but different width and rotated 0 ° so that they become storage boxes. Then cut a personalized table top to fit on top of them. Adding a LACK shelf mounted vertically on the edge of the BESTA provided a solid headboard to lean against. Everything was available in the same finish Walnut except for Mosjö and this would be hidden in the back, lucky!
The only additional thing I did was to reduce the shelves that came with the BESTA for approximately 2 "deep and screw the sides of the cabinet before fixing the lACK support to make the thicker edge and provide better support to the shelf.
