Expedit Walk-In-Closet
Materials: 14 Shelves Expedit
description: starting with my first IKEA Hack, so bear with me, d "first time here, and English is not my first language ..
what i want to show you here how to build a walk in closet, using different sizes of Expedit. The shelves come home in one column (1 x 5), double column (2 x 4) and squares (2 × 2-4 × 4-5 × 5)
When I was serving an entire room clothes, I wanted to make sure you get more out of it, and I realized that if I used the original measurements of the Expedit series, I'd much value spaces / gaps not on the walls.
The thing with Expedit parts is that they all have the same depth and height, the length is what makes the difference, it means that if for example I need only one column with 4 spaces instead of 5, which is original, buy 1 double column (2 x 4) and 1 single column (1 x 5) mixing the parts and I have the necessary parts to single column with 4 boxes ... This is basically the thing I did, ending squares making (4 × 5) simple column (1 × 01.02 × 4) etc
Buy using pen and paper I calculated measures of the room, and started off calculation, finished with the purchase of 14 Expedit shelves before it was perfect .. Fortunately, most of the spare parts I had left, I build Expedit shelves not original and have sold online ... :-)
When I had the right combination of non-original I Expedit of them attached to the other, inserted a little painted white Lekman inserts for the slide function (coupled with one of them to get bigger box for dirty clothes in a column 1 x 2), the best Squares Expedit, I have not finished, I wanted to install a metal tube so I could hang my shirts / jackets etc ...
in all these 2 sides, including many inserts Lekmann cost me about $ 10 subtracted shelves of spare parts sold online, which makes this project not expensive :-)
