If MIKAEL was a wardrobe ANEBODA
Materials: ANEBODA
description: ANEBODA wardrobe with additional shelf space for belts and ties, metal file dividers on the top, and other features MIKAEL.
Basically, I wanted to integrate desktop space saving features MIKAEL (discontinued and replaced by lower MICKE) in my aging ANEBODA wobbly. Here is how I did it (in about 2.5 hours), while making the ANEBODA a piece of furniture much stronger
Main components :.
ANEBODA- $ 99
FLANG- $ 2.99 each (I recommend getting 5)
$ 9.99 SPONTAN-
$ 6 each Hanging set of files (get 7 games) in office Depot or here for real cheap
Message board- 29 I use Tacktile CB2 since I was a drag, but it would probably look better with a cork board
fastening systems $ 1 and $ 5 each depending $ size / style (get 6)
Shelf- $ 10 to $ 40 depending on the style / etc
1. If your wardrobe is as old as mine, probably has already fallen back (or just hanging by a thread). We'll get to fix later. If it is not turned off, remove it; it will make all of these steps easier if you can access the inside of the front and rear. We'll put it on later with wood glue so that we will not have to worry about never come off again.
2. Prepare the wardrobe with shelf supports 6. Make two top back and 4 on the bottom. Use size wood screws # 6 x 1/2. Do not get the biggest size classes as they will interfere with your shelf. For example, if you want to put a shelf 8 "from the bottom, do not get 12" brackets.
3. Place the wooden shelf on the bottom just above the hooks.
4. My files of images come from a desk that was going to throw them. You can get yours for cheap from the link above. Each set represents 2 metal, so it works to about $ 1.50 to $ 3 per stand depending on where you get them.
If file cadres stands are attached to metal bars, you must unscrew.
5. Take a pencil and step on a stool or ladder so you can easily see the top of the cabinet. Scale back about an inch forward. You give a few inches from the left or right edge, mark every 2 or 3 inches. If you plan to put files and folders at the top, do 2 ". If you think you want to put binders up there, do 3" or 4 ".
6. Using the drill appropriate size for the screws of the back frame, drill each brand.
7. Now we will do our file separators from the chassis stands and bars metal. Take the metal bar that goes from one side of a support frame to the other side of the same frame position. These are going to go under the top of the cabinet to keep the file framework is up and help us find the right distance for drilling the rear line of holes.
Put the bolt through one end of the metal bar and through the hole you drilled. Put the file frame carrier upside down on the top and slide the bolt through. You should not need a nut to the bolt as file frame stands are usually already strung.
8. After one side of the bar and bracket are safe, we can secure the other side very easily. Ensure that the bar is aligned right, make a mark through the bar bolt hole in the lower part of the top of the cabinet. Turn the bar of your way and break the mark. Now you can secure the other side of the bar and introduce themselves to each other. Do this for all bars and booths.
9. Use a ratchet to tighten the bolts really as much as you can. Once done up high, you will dividers metal files, and below you will have a bunch of metal bars that are good for hanging things by small hooks; such as jewelry, keys, etc. Also good for keeping notes / bills ...
10. Properly secure the back of the wardrobe for stength added. On their own, the nails, it came with easily tear the media, fall, and bend. Instead, applying a line of wood glue over the entire periphery of the rear edge, then nail on the rear bracket.
11. Add a shelf for extra storage. Armed with my tape measure, I went to the As-Is section of the IKEA store. I found a cabinet door 18 "x30" AVSIKT of glass in perfect condition $ 10. ANEBODA the tablet is actually a little bit bigger than that, but 18 × 30 will still fit ... but barely. Use bolts or screws or additional hardware IKEA (IKEA store my random hardware tray by As-east area) to rest the shelf.
Keep in mind that adding an extra shelf means that you will not be able to hang long clothes like dresses in this thing.
12. Be more efficent with space. Add Flang hooks inside the doors and sides of the cabinet (both inside and outside) for ties and belts hanging.
13. Add a corkboard ...
14. And a file organizer ...
Done! It's like ANEBODA and MIKAEL mated!
