Glass Headboard
Materials :. 2 glass doors Billy Olsbo, your choice of fabric / paper / etc, blue painters tape, picture COMAND suspended bands
Description: I really wanted a headboard for my Ikea bed, but found no one in the store that I liked. So I decided to make my own.
This headboard is mounted on the wall behind the bed, but still looks really great. And it's easy to customize your decor depending on the fabric you use. You can also use wallpaper or wrapping paper or even family photos.
1. Unpack library doors and lay face forward on the ground.
2. Cut your fabric to cover each of the glass panels and tape in place with painters of the blue ribbon. (I used a fabric lining shelf that looks like a bamboo mat to make my bed head, but you can use whatever you want.)
3. Measure and mark where you want your headboard to be mounted on the wall. you climb a glass door on top of the other. I got the first just above my bedside, about an inch or two above the top of my bed frame
4. Follow the instructions on the control image editing tapes to mount each door on the wall, placing them on the wood of the door. Be sure to use enough of the image of the mounting strips to support the weight of each of your finished doors.
You're done! (I waited about half a day to ensure that the headboard was going to stay on the wall and the control strips adhered well before I was asleep on the bed).
