storage bed Applåd

Storage bed Applåd

Materials: APPLÅD faktum upper cabinet refrigerator and mDF

description: Our daughter needed a new bed To use the limited space it has, we wanted a bed to go under her window. The problem was that her room is only 204 cm narrower. No bed available for that in its original size. That's when it hit me, lets make an Ikea hack.

We first bought three cabinets Applåd Faktum made for mounting on top of the wall refrigerator.

Size is 57 cm high and 60 cm wide. The depth is also standard 60 cm. Total of 180 cm wide. I made a frame to fill the plugs on both sides of the cabinets and fix MDF "of the bed bottom."

Making the framework needed to know where to cut the plinth
the skirting is cut to size . Also got help from the inspector to check that everything was controlled at height.
cabinets and chassis mounted on the wall and around the cabinets. Also note the beam so that I can use sheets of MDF.
all covered with MDF. wood screws occasion. Preparation for the paint color "cotton"

The bed is 0 cm deep, but the cabinets are only 60 cm deep. So I made the bottom two sheets of MDF. One is 60 cm wide and the other to the back 30 cm wide. I also drilled two holes to facilitate lifting with two fingers. This makes the room behind the cabinets available. We stock us an extra mattress.
