personalized wardrobe size
This n is not my first cut but my first submission to ikea hackers. The last four years, I was looking around different stores to buy a cabinet covering our needs. At the end, due to the change in my occupation and the free time in between, finally I did it myself.
The Plan
First, I toured the nearby IKEA and I took the paper products modular systems PAX, FAKTUM, BESTA and STUVA. After studying some time, I just realized that there is no way to build my wardrobe while rearranging the modules. So I reached for a combination that takes the least effort for me. The result was a shopping list as below
List of items
- 3 x PAX -. 50x58x236 cm
- 1 x PAX Vikedal - 50 × 229 cm
- 1 x Fardal bright white - 50 x 229 cm
- 1 x bright white Abstrakt - 40 × 195 cm
- 1 x Abstrakt white glossy drawer set - 40 × 70 cm
- 5 x Faktum drawers 35 x 40 cm
Background
space: 2420x1410x505mm
Construction
the adventure began downsizing PAX elements
- H: 2328mm
- D: 465mm 10mm
because of the heating cabinet, behind the cabinet, side panel side left hand had been cut more example. 475mm. I started on the right side of the building changed and noticed very fast PAX, that building is very unstable, because of the missing back wall.
The next step was to build the base of the wardrobe. This little skeleton raises PAX modules baseboards and make it look like a real wall wardrobe.
A detailed view of the decorative band creaked down to the exact contour of the mopboard :. The illusion is perfect
No rooms to exact angle. After almost finished editing all PAX modules and built, I noticed that the closet is the farthest 12mm top of the wall. In short, I created a new skeleton to compensate for the angle. The image below shows the kitchen drawers mounted in the interval (FAKTUM).
At the end I climb the back wall to stabilize the building and I arranged all internal wardrobe.
