A heightened headboard

Increased headboard

Materials: Malm Ikea bedframe, plywood, stick fabric, stapler, brackets, screws

description: I owned the Ikea bedframe Malm and wanted to add height to my head. With a quick trip to a hardware store and the local community, I'm home with plywood, L-brackets, screws, stapler, batting, and fabric. In a few hours I was completely transformed my bed blah to BAM!

before

First I added 18 "in height to the headboard by attaching a piece of plywood which corresponded to the width of the frame Ikea. I did it with (3) L-brackets each requiring (2) screws and a piece of scrap plywood with (8) screws.

next I wrapped the plywood and all the "new" headboard in some staple stick leaves in the back on the sides and top.

the last step was increased wrap my head in the linen fabric I chose stapling again back on top and sides.

He was really a piece of cake and I like the visual impact of my head now in the room!
