Expedit Closet - Small Walk-in
Materials: Expedit 1 × 5 (2), Expedit 2 × 4 (2) lack wall shelf (43.25 "), 1 × 2 "cleats, rod closet / shelf supports (4), closet rods (2), flange closet rod assembly (2)
description: When we built our house 3 years ago, I had the builder finish the larger of the two closets in the master bedroom with standard wire shelves, knowing that I finished the rest closet myself at a later time. It became a place of storage for boxes and bags, and so during the Christmas holidays, I decided it was time for renovation.
Although PAX is ideal for apartments or lofts where there are no closets in-itself, Expedit is an excellent choice to fill the existing cupboards. I have a little less than $ 500 in the whole project.
Notes:
- to further assembly "kits" of support for Expedit for use in all four corners. Only 2 are provided with the device. If the parts section in IKEA stores do not have them, they will order them for you.
- Mounting units off the ground to allow the aspiration and give a more open appearance.
Construction
back wall - Expedit 1 × 5 vertical climb against the left wall 10 "carpet off Supported by tab under lower and normal wall mounting brackets in the 4 corners additional Cleats.. were subsequently executed for mounting 2 levels of closet rods - upper block and the upper cabinet brackets should be level with the top of Expedit (important) clamping rings are installed after pin was in place -. not support the weight but to give finished appearance to the rod. another Expedit 1 × 5 placed horizontally above the first Expedit 1 × 5 and resting on supports tab and closet rod (which is why flush is important)
right wall. - Expedit 2 × 4 horizontal mounted 18 "mat off (stop and 4 hooks) - provides a good height for folding clothes on top of Expedit. Shelf added above - high enough not to hit his head.
left wall - Expedit 2 × 4 vertically mounted 10 ". Off the mat (stop and 4 hooks)
I am very happy with the result - it will make you feel" closed in " in the small closet on one level, which is what I really wanted to avoid.
