Illuminated built-in wardrobe

closet Illumination

Materials: BRODER system PAX LYNGDAL sliding doors, strips of wood, 10m RGB LED strips

description: When we moved to our new apartment we had some drywall that were ment to be used as an integrated cabinet. As I do not want to use curtains covering some shelves, we decided to build an impressive wardrobe in this space with the BRODER system and doors PAX Lyngdal.

First, we built the BRODER rack. Therefore, we used the wall version to the left side of the ledge. There, we used the media used and applied before small wooden shelves to it. The banks and the remaining space, we used the extension messages height, and two metal shelves and clothes rail on the central supports. At the end, we had two 0 cm wide sections and two 80 cm sections.

While the interior has been set up, we had to build a construction in which the sliding doors could work. We had about 241 cm in height and width of 360 cm to cover. As IKEA does not offer doors with such size, we used a pair that is 150 × 236 cm and another with 250x236cm. To really make the sliding doors, we built a framework from strips of wood, covering all sides and was simply screwed together with the walls, ceiling and floor. We added a notch in the upper band, so we could dive the top rail of the door in it. The lower rail is screwed to the top of the band.

To give everything a bit more style, we bought LED strips which can change their color and pasted on the remaining space of the frame, so that the glass doors are illuminated from behind .
