Ikea hack Edland nightstand: Mirrored watch
Materials: Edland nightstand, gray
description: We love the look of furniture mirror and we also like the style of the series Edland at Ikea - so why is our dresser in the same series.
We bought the Ikea bedside as well. However, our vision is a little different.
This is our photo before and after:
Before assembling this product, we started it was a very finite and even look at her. We exposed every room and started with a silver spray paint (It included a primer and paint one). We gave it about 3-4 layers in alternating how you spray (horizontal / vertical) to avoid scratches. Between each layer is allowed to dry for about 20-30 minutes (this varies depending on your location, humidity and time of year). Once one side had its full layer 3-4, we reversed and did the same thing on the other side.
After the color channels were completely, we applied two layers of a base coat clear sealant to help with her seal and to help clean future this one. We let each coat dry for 30 minutes, and the last coat to dry about 45 minutes to make sure it was completely dry before we met.
After all the dried layers we put together all night (s) except for the front door.
We bought 2 8 × 8 square mirrors Joanns we set off and applied with sticky glue. We put off due to the button placement. We let the mirror attached with glue for about 2 hours to make sure it was completely blocked (for instructions on the tube).
To the border around the mirror, we bought smaller molding filing the house we spray painted and also cut to the size necessary to fit around the mirror. When all 8 bits have been cut, we stick each around the mirror and filled the gaps in the corners (as you would any baseboard or crown molding).
The next step is to measure the point and the borehole where you want the button to go. Because of the possibility of having your open left or right door (in our case, we wanted to do one of each), they did not pre drill the button holes, but the instructions say you should. So it gave us the flexibility to make our buttons go where we wanted them to go.
Once the button is up, complete the assembly of the front door to the main room. Place in the room and enjoy!
