Reaching New Heights with side tables Hacked Hol

Backstory: Our master bedroom was in need of a makeover. My husband Mark and I were still sleeping on the box spring and the mattress without a bed frame of four years after we were married and our decor was both minimal and aimless. Honestly, the entire space was coming afterwards

Finally, last fall, we decided to tackle head, and through the process, we also found our common style.! Water Rustic

further, not one, but two different IKEA hacks were involved in our makeover bedroom! One of them has already been presented here IKEA Hackers, our whitewashed cabinet with pallet shelves. The second is what I would like to introduce today our side tables Hol, who gave us a lift with some gray wash and white dry brushing, and a literal lift by adding table legs. Now our bedside tables match up to our new bed and coastal atmosphere of our decor. IKEA hack for victory

Here is the quick run-down of how we transformed our bedside tables:

Materials: HOL bedside tables, gray wash, white paint, 1 "x 2" pine boards, drywall screws, drill, saw

step by step :.

1. Cut 4 pieces of pine that are 9 "and 4 pieces that are about 18" inches.
2. Install the longer pieces first, to set the inside of table structure (you will have to remove the top and one of the four sides the cube to make this possible).
3. Cut rectangular slots in the bottom panel where the "legs 18 will pass through.
4. Take 9" pieces and join them for the 18 "pieces in a model" T ".
5. sand all.
6. Apply a gray wash on the tables.
7. Apply a technical white dry brush against the grain to give them a weathered rustic appearance.
