Queen size bed with twin trundle

Queen size bed with two trundle beds

Materials: Odda trundle bed, Sultan Lurøy slatted base, Sultan double mattress Florvåg, Sultan Fåvang queen mattress

description : the problem: We wanted to have a larger bed for our boy between, but still have a trundle bed out for sleep-overs.

When we could not find that everywhere, we decided to build a bed we using IKEA products.

Odda We used a trundle bed drawer. And we used Lurøy Sultan slatted base to build the queen around.

In Odda trundle we cut the face plate to the front as shown in the image. Then we attached a new board to 9 inches high and 79 "long for the size and type of the new wood bed

We finished the rough edges on the Odda with a piece of round wood quarter. See the picture.

for the bed itself, we both end boards sized 61 3/4 "(but I would probably do that 62" if I had to do more for a smaller space for the slats) and two side rails 1 × 6 wood. They are 80 "long. See the image.

We used surface mounted bed rail supports to assemble the bed Then added a fifth board on the side of the bed that had opposed the pullout opening for stabilization (80 "x9").

Then we made a T-post on 2 × 3 wood and a support for the exit 2 × 4. See the picture. I added feeling inside to prevent squeaking and up the t-post before asking the sultan mattress slats and mattress Sultan Florvåg.

last, we had a bushy head for bed

More photos of how we made the bed here.

Details on the head.
